2017 Showcase Home
This classic southern cottage with historical features is a collaboration between Home Builder Jeff Frostholm and Custom Home Designer Bob Chatham. The tall windows with transoms and high ceilings create a feeling of stepping back in time. Designed specifically to be built in Pointe Place, a residential community in Fairhope, Alabama with strict architectural guidelines for creating cottages with a southern vernacular style. The exterior look is tied together with operable shutters, open rafter tails, Old Chicago Brick and artisan siding. As you step inside, an open floor plan incorporates the grand living room, dining room and kitchen all together as one open space. A wood-burning fireplace, large kitchen island, powder room and the guest suite with its private bath, are just some of the features that make the main floor both comfortable and practical for family living. The master suite includes a beautiful glass enclosed shower, a free-standing tub, and expansive walk-in closet. As you transition up the spacious u-shaped staircase, the second floor reveals a sitting area and two additional bedrooms along with two full baths. A classic southern cottage would not be complete without the large, rear covered porch. We have enjoyed working with Jeff Frostholm of Frostholm Construction LLC on the 2017 Baldwin County Home Builders Association Showcase Home. The interior designs curated by Cindy Meador inspire casual yet sophisticated living. Belle Meade Lighting of Vesta Taylor Interiors designed the beautiful interior lighting you will see throughout the home. Custom closets were provided by Julie Kenney with Custom Closets by Kenney-Moise, Inc.
